Students are the reason SiS exists. Our goal is to provide you with the best services we can. Every penny we make, we reinvest in our services, to make them better.

We offer almost everything you need as a student: Food and drinks, training facilities, housing and much more. As a student, you have a strong say in what we do. Students have the majority of vote in our board of directors.

SiS HELSE (SiS HEALTH)

We have four psychologists and one public health nurse working for the welfare of students associated with SiS. These services are free, as long as you have paid the registration fee.

The therapists working at SiS health are psychologists, not psychiatrists , which means that they cannot subscribe any medication. If you are in need of medication, contact your general practitioner (doctor). Our psychologists are trained to treat mental issues and disorders, but not with medication.

To book a session with a psychologist, please fill out this form and deliver it to the SiS reception in Kitty Kiellands hus (UiS). The waiting time is usually estimated to be four to five weeks. Because of circumstances beyond our control, the waiting time will be longer this spring, and back to normal in september.  Please note that you cannot book a session with a psychologist on-line. Because of privacy issues, this has to be done face to face, or via regular mail.

Fees for not showing up, or cancelling later than 24 hours before your appointment

If you don’t show up for your appointment, or cancel later than 24 hours before, you are taking up time that could be used for other students. In these instances you will be charged with:

No show: 300 NOK
Cancelling later than 24 hour before appointment: 150 NOK

To book a session with the public health nurse, you can either just drop-in during office hours, or send an e-mail to kari.haugen@studentensbeste.no.
